I created this piece for the Penguin Student Design Awards. Responding to the adult non-fiction brief to re-design the book cover for The Uninhabitable Earth: A Story of the Future by David Wallace-Wells. The book talks about the climate crisis and the consequences of global warming. I decided to focus on the statute of liberty as she is a symbol of hope and seeing her drowning/fading to represent how we are running out of time.
